The long-awaited update of Windows Live Suite.

Windows Essentials 2012 is the next installment of Windows on the famous suite of free programs, integrated into what was formerly known as Windows Live. Different names for a new compilation of programs in which Windows Essentials 2012 is giving special prominence to Windows Messenger, not to mention other programs that are getting stronger with each update.

Besides the aforementioned Messenger with its corresponding improvements, in Windows Essentials 2012 you'll find the increasingly popular video editor and multimedia presentations program Windows Movie Maker, as well as the editing system Windows Photo Gallery Organisation (an easy way to share your photos with your family and friends), or the Windows Live Writer system for creating and managing blogs.

But with Windows Essentials 2012 you'll also be getting, for free in a single download, a parental control component called Windows "Child Protection" to prevent your children from accessing inappropriate Internet content, games or programs, Windows Mesh for synchronizing and backing up various devices, the necessary Windows Mail, etc. If you're using Windows, you must upgrade to Windows Essentials 2012, or you'll get left behind.

NOTE: To install Windows Essentials 2012 on Windows Vista, you must have Service Pack 2.
